The local clubhouse is home from home for many dedicated sports communities all over the country. Whether it’s the local GAA, rugby, soccer, golf, athletics, boxing or tennis club etc, much of what makes up our personal identity, can be found here. It’s often where we find our closest friends, and share the happiest of times together. Part of this club identity is the club crest, which might be displayed prominently both inside and outside the clubhouse. Club heroes and legends are often depicted in murals also, and these images are often used as attractive backdrops when visitors and members photograph themselves on special occasions, such as medal presentations etc. Many of today’s clubhouses are light years away from the old basic amenities that previous generations used, and if your club hadn’t thought of adding an original hand painted mural/crest, to add that final touch, now might be a good time to consider doing so.
