About Mural Art
Murals are usually painted directly to a wall, ceiling or other large permanent surface whether it be indoors or outdoors. They are ideal for creating a unique mood or ambience for a business, club or private home. Local history and sports achievements are just two of the popular themes which are often illustrated, but any subject under the sun can feature. Typical clientele include:
- Tidy Towns & Heritage groups
- Pubs & Bars
- Restaurants
- Hotels
- Sports Clubs
- Gyms & Leisure Centres
- Churches
- Private Homes
- Business Premises
- Schools
- Creches
Commissioning a Mural
After your initial e-mail enquiry or phone call (087-416 55 27) we begin with a meeting where I learn more about your space and your own ideas on subject matter. Sometimes the client has only a rough idea of what they might require, but after the initial chat, things are always much clearer. The design and scaled artwork (with cost estimate) is the next step. I always take a photograph of the wall with the proposed final imagery superimposed on this, so that you can see what the finished mural will look like. When you are happy with the final draft and price, the mural is then painted. The process is as straightforward as that.
If you don’t really know what you would like, not to worry, as I have loads of ideas. Half the fun is looking at all options and coming up with something unique and special, which will always be a great conversation piece, and enjoyed by all who see it for many years to come. A mural should always showcase the clients own individual sense of style.
