John Hayes Mural, Bruff.

John Hayes Mural, Bruff.

Just finished work on a really enjoyable project in Bruff, Co Limerick. The mural was a large portrait of Munster and Ireland rugby legend John Hayes, affectionately christened ‘the Bull’ by all who love rugby in this country. He is joined by Paul O’Connell and Jerry Flannery in action v Northhampton, and by Irish International rugby referee, George Clancy, a local Bruff man and nephew of the proprietor of the pub, Jack Clancy, who commissioned the mural. Both local and national newspapers featured the finished work, with the ‘Limerick Leader’ including some good lines and entertaining reaction from Hayes himself. It was a joy and an honour to be involved in this tribute to the great man, coincidentally, within days of his autobiography being launched.
