The legendary Paul McGrath, was one of the greatest footballers to ever come out of this country. He played 83 times for the Republic of Ireland, excelling in Euro ’88, and the 1990 and 1994 World Cups, which will never be forgotten by Irish football fans. He also played for 7 seasons with Manchester United winning an FA Cup in the 1984-85 season and also winning ‘man of the match’ in that game. He also had 7 years at Aston Villa where he probably played his best club football. Highly respected and always popular with his legion of Irish football fans, he will always be remembered for his tough and intelligent approach to the game he loves.
